Bring your handmade pottery to life with colour, illustrations and beautiful ceramic finishes.
In this relaxed decorating workshop, you can personalise your bisque-fired pottery using underglazes, studio glazes, or a combination of both. Paint patterns, illustrations or decorative details onto your pieces, or explore the rich colours and unique effects created by ceramic glazes.
Choose from our carefully selected collection of studio glazes, including favourites such as Textured Turquoise, Honey Flux, Ancient Jasper and Seaweed.
This workshop is designed for anyone who has attended one of our handbuilding workshops and would like to return to decorate their finished pieces before their final firing.
No previous painting or glazing experience is needed. We will demonstrate the decorating techniques, explain how ceramic colours and glazes transform in the kiln, and guide you throughout the session.
Everything you need for your decorating session
Up to two pieces
Decorating materials, glazing and final firing are included for up to two handmade pieces.

Use ceramic underglazes, studio glazes, or a combination of both.

We demonstrate decorating techniques and explain how colours and glazes transform in the kiln.
Return, decorate, then collect after firing
1. Bring your bisque-fired work
This session is for people who have attended one of our handbuilding workshops and want to decorate their finished pieces.
2. Choose your finish
Paint patterns, illustrations or decorative details, or explore rich ceramic glaze effects.
3. Leave pieces for final firing
We glaze and fire your pottery so it is ready for collection after the kiln work is complete.

Before you book
Additional pieces are £5 each, payable in the studio.
Ceramic colours and glazes transform during firing, so the finished shades and effects may differ slightly from how they appear in the studio. These beautiful variations and occasional surprises are part of the magic of ceramics.
Bookings are non-refundable but may be transferred to another available session with at least seven days’ notice.
Finished pottery must be collected within eight weeks of being ready. UK shipping is available on request for customers who are unable to collect in person.
